The House Above The Rice Steps
Just cruising through Bhutan at over 5,000 ft (1,500m+) enjoying the scenery. The bright green of a terraced field always draws my attention, especially when they cover the sides of tall mountains.
As Bhutan sits at the southern end of the Eastern Himalaya, it is home to some of the most ridiculously tall mountains in the world. Their elevations range from a paltry 520 ft (160m) to over 24,000 ft (7,300m) above sea level. The highest peak in the kingdom is Kula Kangri at 24,731 ft (7,538m), making it the 46th tallest mountain in the world.
