Heonilleung (獻仁陵)
Scattered throughout Seoul and the surrounding areas are a number of Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. They're classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and so, slowly I've been trying to visit them throughout my travels to Korea. The tombs all appear to be in dolmen (burial mounts). Korea alone accounts for nearly 40% of the world's dolmen with roughly 35,000 dolmen throughout the peninsula.
This pair of dolmen belong to the 3rd King Taejong of the Joseon Dynasty on the left, along with his wife, Queen Wongyeong on the right. The area is wonderfully peaceful, as you would expect from a royal cemetery.
