Zebra In The Bush

While much has been said in the media recently about hunting big game, I will say it is extremely thrilling to go on safari and try to find prey for my camera. The feeling is a bit like gambling. You don't know what you'll see or what might happen, but you just got to take your chances and hope for the best!

After concluding my trip in Namibia with three days of safari, I finally see what all the fuss is about. Totally ruined zoos for me, for life. Seeing animals in the wild has no comparison. Creeping up on zebras in my SUV, hoping to somehow be stealthy (as stealthy as you can be in a giant SUV) and capture them a bit closer, was pretty fun. The cost of going on safari is generally not cheap, although if you're willing to rough it by camping, I'm sure you can find a way to make it work. It's one of those travel-will-change-you kind of life experiences everyone should have.
