Siyob Bazaar
Just outside the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, you can find the Siyob Bazaar, the largest bazaar in Samarkand. The city itself is located in Uzbekistan and lies along the ancient trade route known as the Silk Road.
All manner of daily necessities are sold in the bazaar. There's the usual variety of fresh local produce, lots of different snacks, hardy Uzbek bread including the popular Samarkand non, and of course - dried apricots. Brightly colored produce is beautifully arranged to arrest the eyes just long enough that you soon find yourself engaged with a seller insisting you just have a little taste before you buy.
