Cruising around Antarctica in a zodiac definitely lends a more expedition-y feel to an Antarctic trip. You'll see more icebergs than you could ever imagine, and more penguins than you probably thought possible, and it still never gets old.
Penguins, the curious little creatures that they are, seem to suffer as much from the wanderlust bug as I do. While more typically seen in and around the colonies, they also seem to make their way to peculiar and unexpected places. Isolated, they clamber atop icebergs to safety, scoping out the area and just taking it easy.
