With More Hands Comes More Power

I'm rather uneducated when it comes to Hinduism, but I do find it fascinating to learn about the iconography in the various depictions of the deities. One thing that Buddhism and Hinduism share is the use of mudras, or gestures, to convey different meanings such as wisdom and power.

You might notice the deity in the center has four hands. Why four hands? I'm not sure, but having more than two hands separates you from mere humans. More hands implies more power. There's a number of these depictions as you walk through the Batu Caves.
