Color Me Tiled

Most of the time I'm trying to shoot really cool landscapes, or capture the photograph of an interesting person I've come across. Every once in a while though, you notice something more in the details. Something easy to pass by. If you slow down for just a bit though, you might appreciate it.

This array of roof tiles at the Wat Pho temple in Bangkok is just such an example of that.The extraordinary details and efforts put forth in creating a Buddhist temple are an exercise in patience and discipline. There is definitely an art to creating Buddhist paintings, and the craftsmanship of the finer details and colors used even in something as simple as roof tiles is worth spending a few seconds to stop and enjoy. After all, life is nothing but one very long string of short moments pieced together.
