Inside The Complex

I spent a few days in Udaipur for a friend's wedding, which occupied most of my time there. I did get a short opportunity to sneak away and check out the City Palace by Lake Pichola. It's easily a place you could lose yourself for an hour or two strolling the grounds, and going room to room within the palace walls.

One of the more unexpected findings, was just how labyrinth like things can be within the City Palace. You're exploring a couple adjacent rooms and then next thing you know you're walking through narrow hallways with short doorways, going down and up the stairs leading you into the next chamber of rooms. It's all very beautiful though, and there's some great angles and interesting architecture spread throughout.
