The Wall Of Names
Just outside the main building, on either side of the entrance are a series of black marble monuments inscribed with the names of those who died in the Korean War, Vietnam War, clashes with North Korea since the Korean War, and policemen who died on duty. I didn't know what to expect when visiting the memorial and for some reason I foolishly thought it was dedicated to the Korean War, which is also known in the US as The Forgotten War, since it's easily dwarfed by the Vietnam War.
Walking through the memorial hall and seeing the names inscribed outside is a sombering experience. There were well over half a million military casualties and an estimated 2.5 million civilian casualties.
