The World I Left
Downtown Chicago, right in the tourist honeypot of Michigan Ave. Flanked on the left (East) by the John Hancock Building and the Water Tower Place. Across the street on the right-hand side is the Fourth Presbyterian Church.
There's an energy that runs through this city. Towering skyscrapers with brutal winds whipping between them. The cabs drive just a little too close for comfort while the lemming-like tourists start to cross the street before getting the crosswalk signal only to learn that it's because cars are turning left. Maybe the car will stop, maybe it won't. Hey, welcome to Chicago!
