The Golden Fan Dancers of Arirang

I think some of the premier circuses might be getting a little bit of competition for the title of "The Greatest Show on Earth." The mass spectacle that is Arirang is quite an epic show, although it is pretty focused on human performance and doesn't include any elephants. There is, however, something along the lines of a man getting shot out of a canon at one point, so, it does bring it.

The mass games were held for just over ten years in North Korea, but does not appear to be taking place in 2014, and it's unclear if or when it might return. With 100,000 performers, it is quite the effort to coordinate and choreograph.
