Peeking Into Another World

Living in Pyongyang is a privilege for those in North Korea. Getting to see a military parade to celebrate the Great Leader's 100th birthday? That would be a privilege for me.

While I can truly say that seeing this parade was one of the highlights of my life, it wasn't just the procession of military vehicles that made the experience what it was. Seeing how the locals watched and cheered on the parade was interesting in itself. Little kids and adults dancing in celebration, some women dressed in their fine traditional choson-ot. Just to see the people in general, even standing around, I find it fascinating. A look into another world. The wonderfully interesting world of North Korea.
