The Singaporean Lanterns of Chinatown
Somehow I never quite got around to posting a photo from Singapore until now. It's a terrific little country! It's sort of the Riesling of Asia - a great starter country, but once you discover it, you see there are so many other things to explore.
While the largest ethnic group in Singapore is Chinese, there is still a distinct Chinatown district that is distinctly...more Chinese than the rest of Singapore. Mostly due to cultural and historical buildings. Squeezing your way through the crowds at night will definitely give you that authentic high-population density Asian feel!
Rows of seemingly unending lanterns hang in Chinatown, Singapore.
