Monument Valley

This is one of the vistas I was looking forward to in planning a short trip to Monument Valley. On the left are the East and West Mitten Buttes, so named as they appear to be two giant mittens. A bit to the right of them is Merrick Butte. All three are each over 6,000 feet tall.

Arriving right around sunset, this is the view just steps away from the cabins at The View Hotel. I hope you'll agree it's pretty amazing. After quickly snapping a few photos, I set about to get the drone in the air to take some photos from another perspective. Fringe benefit of staying the cabin? Much easier to launch a drone than from a hotel balcony.
