Pilgrims Of Ethiopia Part 1
In Ethiopia (and Eritrea), Christmas is celebrated on January 7th in accordance with the Ethiopian Calendar. Leading up to that, pilgrims from all over the country travel on foot to the small town of Lalibela. Famous to travelers for its rock-hewn churches, Lalibela was built as a symbolic 'New Jerusalem.'
While the pilgrims make there way through the churches of Lalibela, I was luckily enough to get a couple of them to allow me to take their photo. And, next thing you know, everyone wanted their photo taken! Wanting to capture photos of some of the pilgrims, there's nothing better than having people eagerly waiting to have their photo taken.
