Pyongyang Sunan International Airport
There's something a little special about landing and taking off from an airport where you deplane onto the tarmac. Kind of like the mad men era of airports, except it's definitely a common occurrence. I really like when my first few breaths of non-airplane air come from on the tarmac, taking in the surroundings, as opposed to some stuffy old terminal.
Speaking of old terminals, this is Terminal 1, the older of the two terminals at Sunan. It's Soviet style architecture is reinforced by featuring the Eternal President, Kim Il-sung's timeless photo atop the building.
