Uncovering Secrets Of The Arctic
One of my fondest memories of Greenland is cruising out through Disko Bay and into the Ilulissat Icefjord. As the captain navigates through the icebergs, there's a sense of exploration and excitement that captivates you. You never know what is going to appear before your eyes after you pass the next iceberg or two.
The icebergs are constantly on the move, so the views from even the hotel changed daily. The bigger 'bergs can take months to move through the icefjord, but the smaller ones can advance quite a bit in their march to the ocean. The day of my cruise, the sky was just absolutely spectacular. I couldn't have asked for a more cooperative and photogenic sky.
