Pyongyang Street Style For Boys
One of the questions I get asked a lot about trips to North Korea is whether or not you actually get to meet regular North Koreans? Well, yes, sorta. The thing is, even if you can mingle, can you really communicate?
On my second trip to the DPRK, I did find myself with a few minutes of downtime if you will in Pyongyang outside a subway station. It was interesting to see people going about their everyday lives, and I did perhaps sneak in a quick 안녕하십니까 (Hello) here and there.
There are some common trends to the fashion in North Korea, but I have to say, I like this kid's swagger. Rocking the popsicle stick, slightly twisted cap, and a face of piqued interest.
