Kokerboom

One of the more unique and alien-like trees I've seen is the kokerboom. Better known as a quiver tree, its branches are hollowed out forming quivers to carry arrows by the bushmen of Southern Africa. It's also believed that the tree will bring good luck to anyone that worships and nurtures it.

Located 14km north of Keetmanshoop, like most touristic destinations in Namibia, it's easy to find yourself alone in the presence of nature's stunning treats.
