Not Moo-ving
Pokhara is an almost resort-like town. Gateway to the Annapurnas, it's lakeside is a relaxing place to just idle away the days at a very affordable cost. Nepal in general is a great place to go when you want to stretch how far your dollars will go.
There's not a whole lot of culture in Pokhara, especially when compared to Kathmandu and elsewhere in Nepal. The few things worth seeing are questionably worth seeing. There are some great views of the Annapurnas should the weather be in your favor.
On a quick tour to see the Devil's Falls, I had a chance to capture a bit of Pokhara when not in the tourist hotel district. Much like neighboring India, cows are sacred in Nepal, and it makes a lot of sense considering roughly 90% of the population is Hindu.
